Meet the Instructor: Ian King

How long have you been coding? How did you get started?

4 Years - Originally started so i could teach computer science.

What do you enjoy about working at Manchester Codes? // New? What are you most looking forward to with working at Manchester Codes?

Seeing people developing from being to complete beginners, to being able to build and deploy their own apps.

What gets you excited about Technology?

Being able to start with an idea or a problem, and being able to build something new to solve it.

Favourite language and framework/library/ tool?

Currently Golang

Least favourite language and framework/library/ tool?

Not a fan of Java

One piece of advice you have for people fresh to Software development?

Keep yourself motivated by finding things to build that you're interested in or could see your self using in real life.

Outside of work, what do like to do for fun? How do you spend your downtime?

Movies, games, hiking and powerlifting.

What did you want to be when you were younger?

A scientist.

Do you have a pet? If so, what do you have?

Two cats, Boris and Scarlett

If you could be a superhero, who would you be and why?

Multiple-Man, so I could make copies of myself and get my to-do list done.
