All in all good vibes, would recommend.
I would 100% recommend - it's extremely rewarding for anyone looking to make their next move.
Their course is specifically designed to give students the skills and experience they’ll need to enter the industry.
The careers advice during the course is priceless and if you put the effort in you will have no problems getting an interview / job offer.
I'm amazed at how much the course covered and although I found the projects challenging, they were also really fun to work on
The tutors are incredibly supportive and encouraging, and provided guidance at all hours to the whole cohort!
The course is geared up to get you into work, which is perfect for people looking to switch careers.
I got a job offer 2 months after my final project due to all the skills I'd picked up on the course!
Been working as a dev for almost a year now and couldn't be happier with the decision I made to join Manchester Codes.
The tutors were so supportive and made sure that this didn't affect the delivery of material
They are all lovely easy-to-talk-to people who help create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in the cohort
Great course for everybody who is wishing to work in Tech. The course is very intense and has lots of interesting projects and materials.
I would definitely recommend Manchester Codes to anyone looking to learn a new skill.
Since Graduating in October Manchester Codes have continued to support me in my attempt to begin a career as a Software Developer with interview prep
Another key beneficial part of the Manchester Codes course which is often overlooked by those learning to code, is the opportunity to work closely with other students and to collaborate on work throughout the course. Pair programming/working closely with others collaboratively is a key skill to master that will make working as a developer much easier.
Full-time bootcamps were out of the question as I could not afford to give up working full-time, so Manchester Codes was the perfect option. The course is intense and is a big commitment (the 20 hours per week of independent study the course recommends outside of lectures is a realistic expectation), however it was worth every hour and every penny.
The tutors are really helpful, approachable and have the very up to date knowledge on development so no questions went unanswered.
A new career is literally 6 months away if you start today. You will be hard pushed to find a course that returns what this one does in the amount of time it takes to complete.
I really liked the wide range of topics we covered, there was a curriculum to follow which meant the course progressed at a fast pace and each week we were learning a new concept.
As I progressed through the weeks, all of the different skills I had learnt came together to create bigger projects allowing me to gain a deeper understanding of the course material.
Having friends that did a similar bootcamp in other schools, I always felt, in comparison, that I was not just another head in the crowd.
I am 4 months into a Junior Front Developer role and really enjoying it! I got the job offer on the day of our cohort’s graduation.
The teachers/mentors and my classmates are fantastic. If they can teach a nurse how to code, I reckon they can teach anybody!
Command Shift was a life changing experience for me. You are joining a community of helpful likeminded people always willing to help.
The tutors were a great support too, incredibly patient, and explained concepts to me multiple times if I was struggling to grasp them.
As a teacher, I am not able to be flexible in my working hours so being able to attend evening lectures and work through the curriculum in my own time was very attractive.
